As your Real Estate broker, Michael Rohrer relies upon four decades of experience in New York as a sales and marketing professional. Michael has his feet on both sides of the river having lived in both Manhattan and Brooklyn. He understands both mindsets and is often called upon by people looking to manage their transition from one to the other. Based in the Cobble Hill office and a Park Slope resident, Rohrer focuses on all of northern Brooklyn as well as Manhattan depending upon his customers' desires.
 
Michael is a seasoned real estate broker with over 20 years of experience as a leading real estate professional. He joined Compass in 2017 and is an acknowledged marketing expert with concrete skills and a creative spirit.
 
Michael spent years managing sales at a prominent NYC art gallery representing the celebrated NY Times theatrical caricaturist Al Hirschfeld and then, in the late 90s after completing a Master's degree in Digital Media, he began working in the nascent field of on-line advertising. In his management role at an advertising agency, he deployed teams that advised Fortune 500 companies on how to extend their brands to the internet. After the "dot com bust" he joined a leading real estate firm and the rest is history.
 
As a listing agent, he is known for refining the sales strategy to each property's strengths and helping sellers to stage their properties to showcase them most effectively. Buyers know him as a broker who listens more than he talks and is intuitive about people's requirements and motivations. He inspires confidence in his handling of the myriad details that real estate transactions require.
 
Michael love/hates his Peloton bike and loves pinochle, travel, theater and cooking - lately focusing on Mexican and Indian cuisine. Originally from a small town in Michigan, he considers himself a New Yorker having lived here for over forty years. He and his husband of nearly thirty years bought a townhouse in 2005 and completed a gut renovation of the home some years later. Michael would love to be a resource and guide for your next foray into New York real estate.
